This is the device’s low battery indicator. It means that the battery needs to be replaced.
parkzeit uses approximately 500 mAh per year, based on around 40 minutes of driving time per day. If you use a lithium AA battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh, the device can operate for up to 7 years under these conditions. We state a battery life of up to 4 years because some versions are supplied with a 2100 mAh battery, which provides a usage time of approximately 4 years.
One AA battery provides more capacity than 2 AAA batteries while also making battery replacement simple, cost-effective, and convenient anywhere. A button cell typically has around 600 mAh capacity, while an AAA battery has around 1000 mAh. This means that an AA battery offers approximately 3 to 4 times the capacity of a button cell and about twice the capacity of an AAA battery. If we had used additional AA batteries, the device would have become too large and heavy for the 3M adhesive pads. Our goal was to create the best possible balance between size, weight, battery life, and ease of use.
No. The front holder remains attached to the windshield, while the device itself can easily be slid out of the holder. This makes it convenient to change the battery and set night parking or manual parking. You do not need to work on a permanently mounted device, but can comfortably hold it in your hand.
The most important instructions are already printed on the inside of the packaging. At the same time, we have deliberately focused on keeping the environmental impact from additional printed materials as low as possible. In addition, there is a QR code printed inside the device itself, which cannot be lost. If you need help, you can simply scan the code with your smartphone and open the instructions immediately.
No. Although the device has a battery level indicator, it is primarily for information. When the battery level becomes low, parkzeit enduro emits a beep every time the device exits parking mode. This gives you a timely warning when you start driving, usually around 4 to 5 months before the battery needs to be replaced.
