Setup & Use
Make the most of your parkzeit. Below you’ll find clear, simple instructions on battery, installation, and use.
Battery
parkzeit runs on one AA battery that lasts about 4 years, depending on the type.
You can also use a rechargeable AA battery with USB-C to avoid replacements.
Important Tips
- Always set the date correctly for daylight saving time changes.
- Only keep one parking disc on the windshield to avoid fines.
- Place the disc bottom right of the windshield (from inside). Wrong placement can make it invalid.
- Ensure the glass is clean and warm when mounting.
- Check often that the time and battery are correct.
- You are responsible for correct settings – no fine refunding.
- On short trips, make sure both driving and parking are detected.
Setup
- Adjust: Hold button 2 sec. until display blinks. Use +/– and SET for time and date.
- Parking Rule: Slider on right: 15 min (Denmark, Austria) or 30 min (Sweden, Finland, Germany, Switzerland).
- Daylight Saving: Switch on/off with slider on left.
Manual Parking
- For evening parking (valid from next morning), set time manually with +/–.
Illegal Modification
- Structural modifications or interference with an approved automatic parking disc (cf. section 7) are not permitted.
- Changes to the connection of an automatic parking disc to the car’s construction are not permitted.
Follow these steps – your parkzeit will be ready for safe, worry-free parking.
